Peschiera's city center

We recommend a walk among the ramparts in the fortress of Peschiera del Garda (UNESCO site). Admire the fortress and the Hapsburg military district, climbing up the San Marco’s bastion and then ending in Piazza Savoia. A pentagon-shaped fortress, unique in Europe, to be discovered on foot and able to testify to the history of the peoples who dominated it from the Neolithic to the Great War, up to the present day.

Cycle line Peschiera-Mantova

From Peschiera del Garda it’s possible to have a unique experience along the Euro Velo 7 cycle path (E7), which starting from Peschiera del Garda, with a route that starts under the Unesco World Heritage walls, reaches Borghetto up to the Mantua lakes. This stretch of cycle path, completely dedicated to bikes, is accessible to the whole family because it is safe and uneven.

Railway station

Peschiera del Garda station is located on the Milan-Venice line, serving the city of the same name.

Garda Lake

It’s the largest lake in Italy, nestled between the Alps and the “Po” Valley. Its shores touch the borders of three regions: Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige. Thanks to its mild and characteristic climate, Garda is home to palm trees, oleanders, olive trees and vines, with which extra virgin olive oils and native wines are produced, such as Lugana and Bardolino. Sirmione

Nicknamed “the pearl Lake of Garda“, Sirmione is known throughout the world for its extraordinary position, its history and its services. The Scaligero castle, entirely surrounded by water and dating back to the thirteenth century, is located at the entrance to the historic center. Inside the peninsula there is an archaeological site: the “Catullo Grottos“, which house the remains of a Roman villa and a museum relating to the history of the time (1st century BC – 1st century AD). The site overlooks one of the most beautiful and evocative beaches of Garda: the Jamaica Beach. The Terme di Sirmione, divided into two locations, represent a fixed point regarding thermal treatments and long-term well-being of the person. In the “Aquaria” headquarters, located in the historic center, you can relax and pamper yourself through regenerating services and sensations based on thermal water. The “Virgilio” headquarters, instead, is indicated for the treatment of numerous types of diseases and disorders: this occurs thanks to the use of sulfuric salsobromoiodic water.

Lake Garda is undoubtedly the area in Italy with the highest concentration of amusement parks.

Gardaland

Gardaland is the first amusement park in Italy, located in the municipality of Castelnuovo del Garda, in the province of Verona. It covers an area of 445.000 square meters, hosting more than thirty themed mechanical and aquatic attractions, to which are added various show areas. In addition, Gardaland has three hotels: first of all is the 4-star Gardaland Hotel, followed by the Gardaland Adventure Hotel, with themed rooms and the Gardaland Magic Hotel, inaugurated in 2019. Gardaland is more than an amusement park, it’s innovation and avant-garde, full of new attractions, restaurants and connected structures, such as Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland Waterpark, whose inauguration is expected for the 2021 season. Visited by nearly 3 million people every year, in 2005 it was ranked fifth by Forbes magazine in the ranking of the ten amusement parks in the world.

Caneva

Water amusement park suitable for all age groups. With over 100.000 square meters, the park offers about twenty attractions as well as restaurants and relaxation areas. The pools have different settings ranging from white sand to green vegetation with volcanoes and slides or wave pools. The park despite the large turnout, especially in the summer months, is constantly cleaned by the staff.

Movieland

Theme park dedicated to the world of cinema and Hollywood. Family friendly with attractions and all day entertainment from actors and stunts. Inside the park you will also find restaurants, bars and shops.
